It took a lockdown to put another dent in the Universe!

The world is taking a giant leap between the pre-lockdown and the post-lockdown period, only this time it's no evolutionary milestone for mankind but the mere human survival instincts to keep us all afloat.


Perhaps it's too early to imagine what Gen Alpha would remember or read about year 2020, I guess there are two legit possibilities to this
  • 2020 was the beginning of a new era

  • 2020 was an intergalactic glitch


Even if we discard the above two odds, we are surely not getting back to the good ‘ol days anytime soon. In fact, some significant and fundamental changes that we see today, shaping the entire world, would most likely become permanent. Here are some ways this new world would break with the past when this health crisis abates.



The new world order


This pandemic has created an end-of-world outlook that has seen citizens hoarding basic necessities to fill their bunker. We buy more food. We have the time to make better meals. We now take the time to renovate and fix the things that need fixing. We buy less clothes and instead opt for screen time to entertain us.

While this may seem like an early hypothesis (especially with complex trade relations and geo-political changes all over the world) , I hope to cover the subsequent developments in the world order as we evolve and adapt as mortal beings. Looking forward to your thoughts on this as well.
